"Yoga is a journey."
We hear that a lot in the yoga world, and while it can sound cheesy at first. it really is true. The thing is, as I’ve learned in my own practice, it’s not quite complete. Because yoga isn’t just any journey, it’s your journey: no two people experience it or grow from it in quite the same way.
Now, if you’re just starting out with yoga you may not have a very clear picture of where you want to go with it. And if this question hasn’t even occurred to you, don’t worry – you don’t have to plan it out in advance.
You also don’t have to worry about being good at it from Day 1. About how you’ll look doing it. About what your fellow peers might think. Because when we practice together, it’s all about taking the pressure off.
You get out of yoga what you put in, and my job is to guide you to discover your own resources, so you can rely on them to keep progressing.

"I’ve been attending one-to-one lessons at Josephine Yoga with Josephine since April 2021. I thoroughly enjoy my lessons with her as she always ensures that I am relaxed and comfortable while being stretched to my full potential.
Josephine diligently records my progress, and comes up with detailed lesson plans each week. Her lessons are a mix of strength, relaxation and deep breathing. She is also very attentive and caters to my needs, such as improvising and adapting the lesson plans when my physique is not in the best state.
Josephine is also extremely patient, understanding and encouraging. She will often gently push me out of my comfort zone, and will tirelessly guide me in performing the various yoga poses correctly.
Further, she not only looks out for my physical well-being, but also my mental and emotional well-being. She is always willing and ready to share about the philosophy of yoga, her personal experiences and life values she believes in. Having a chat with her never fails to take my mind off my troubles!
In sum, Josephine is an excellent yoga teacher whom I highly recommend. Our weekly sessions have had a huge impact on my well-being, and I always look forward to class!"
